Founded in 1864 as an optical company in Wedel (near Hamburg, Germany), MOELLER-WEDEL is today a worldwide renowned manufacturer of surgical microscopes (see History) and subjective refractors. The company is certified according to ISO 13485 and ISO 14001. Since 1990, MOELLER-WEDEL has been part of the international Haag-Streit group.
